Rowland Taylor - Managing Director
An ex Royal Air Force technician and founder of Advanced Aircraft Training Ltd brings an unparalleled expertise into what is now one of Europes leading aircraft type training schools.
Rowland made his way into training after holding senior management positions in Manpower, Aircraft Operations, EASA Pt 145 Organisations and then in Training setting up one of the first European EASA Part 147 Independent training schools based in the United Kingdom. To date Rowland Taylor has taught aircraft engineers in over 45 countries.
John Le May - Technical Director
John started his training career in the RAF, and after working as a fitter for many years, progressed to training basic trade courses at St Athan. John later got into training on C-130 and left the Royal Air Force as a Chief Technician in 1982 and continued training at Stansted and finishing up as Training Manager. John then retired from SRT in 1984 and became an itinierant trainer. John takes care of training manuals, course examinations and day-to-day course planning to meet customer needs and requirements.
Margaret Taylor - Archive and Records
Looks after AAT administration with main responsibilites focusing around EASA Pt147 legislative requirements for Theoretical & Practical training instructors, electronic recording and collation of all exam results and issuing of corresponding certification. She also prepares instructor contracts and tracking and preparation for upcoming courses and liaises closely with Joanna.
David Cook - Quality Manager
David has 45 years experience in the aviation industry starting in the Royal Air Force in 1965 where he had a varied and interesting career carrying out maintenance and modifications to a variety of fixed & rotary wing aircraft. Following tours on Search & Rescue Units and as an Electrical Specialist with the Central Servicing Development Establishment he left the RAF as a Chief Technician in 1990. David then joined Marshall Aerospace as a Planning Engineer, becoming the Principal Planning Quality Engineer and later the Manager – Production Control, Quality & Records he carried out process and product auditing, quality system procedure development, company approval applications and was responsible for aircraft technical records.
Martin Parrock - Aviation Consultant
Spent some twenty-five years in the field of Quality Management both in aircraft parts manufacturing and aircraft maintenance and originally met Rowland Taylor when he established his first Part 147 School at Kent International Airport in conjunction with Modern Jet Support Ltd where Martin was working in the Quality Department. Martin has acted as the Independent Auditor for AAT since the Company was established and has been involved as a Quality Consultant for airlines and MRO’s in South Africa, Zimbabwe, India and Romania as well as the United Kingdom.
Sue Fairley - Regulatory Training Consultant
Sue is an experienced aviation professional with a career spanning over 27 years in the industry, 21 of which were spent at British Airways. During her career she has worked in a variety of departments including training, inflight service, operations, recruitment, safety & security and ramp services.
She has worked with AAT since 2006 and delivers Safety and Regulatory training expertise across a spectrum of aviation organisations. In addition she also specialises in supply chain management, performance management including leadership development and change management.
